COTF visit / iN2015 video

I was quite impressed by the things that can be done from the video, such as video technology that has been integrated into the sunglasses and vehicles. It felt that we are so connected to one another that if we want to see the other person, we just need to give him or her a call, and we would be able to do so.
Fears would be that people may be too engrossed in the Second Life, that they would not be living their first life well!But Second Life has allowed the geographically and even gender differences to be brought low and allow for communication.


Learning in the COTF is no longer limited to just the setting of the classroom. Instead, learning can even happen on public transport and on the go, as every person can go online to acquire information anytime, anywhere.
It was also interesting to note that for the COTF visit, learning is no longer limited geographically, as we are able to acquire knowledge from people in Canada, or even people who do no speak the same language as us. This was made possible via the various simple technology, eg, voice translator, that were combined together to achieve this.
Learning in the future, as mentioned, will no longer be limited geographically. Instead, we will be able to be acquire learning from various sources, such as overseas university professors. Information in the future would be so readily available, that we would have to choose if the information or learning that we have acquired is correct.

If feel that NIE has not prepared teachers sufficiently for such new environments of the future, but has been helpful in teaching us teachers how to teach the subject matter. It would be up to the teachers themselves to prepare themselves for such teaching environments.
One of the ways would be to learn to embrace technology and be fairly updated with technology available. Having actual hand-on on the technology and environment would also be helpful.
